Sunday 28 December 2008 and 4 January:
Holiday Break, No Shows!!!

That's right!  We're taking two weeks off to give ourselves and opportunity to visit family out of town, eat our selves silly, and catch up on 24-hour House and NCIS marathons in our own apartments.  Then, we're taking a day off so we can continue to nurse our Happy-New-Year-Hangovers... or whatever.

You should do the same!  By that, of course, I mean that you should be busy poeticizing all the beauty and horror of a week spent with family, road-trips to your loved ones, getting dumped under the mistletoe, revealing your true love to your true love, reeling in horror from the news, bemoaning the loss of your retirement account, and/or counting down the days of the Bush administration.  Whatever the case, we'd love to hear about it!  ...just not this week... or next week... wait until the 11th when we come back for more fun, adventure, and poetry!!

We say all that to say, "Thank you."  It is the support of our fans, poets, and patrons that keeps us going.  Thank you so much for sticking with us for over 8 years now, as we've welcomed new hosts and said farewell to old friends; watched as new talents have blossomed and borne witness to fallen heroes; moved from Charles Village to Fell's Point and back to Charles Village; and so much more, all the while trying our darnedest to bring you consistently great entertainment.

Thank you all.  Thank you.

Here's to another great year of SLAMicide!
